EHL Scholarship Fund
With a student population drawn from 88 countries, EHL’s commitment to attracting talented individuals from all over the world is clear. Yet the competition for the best students has never been more intense. If EHL is to uphold its reputation as one of the leading hospitality management schools in the world, it must offer financial aid packages to young people who otherwise could not apply to our School.
Joining the University of Applied Science of Western Switzerland (HES-SO) has had a tremendous impact on recruitment. Through annual grants, HES-SO covers the tuition fees of all Swiss students and residents enrolled in the Bachelor Programme. As a result the number of applicants has increased dramatically and the overall quality of admitted students has notably improved.
Till recently, there was no financial aid available for foreign students or for Swiss students enrolled in the Master and Diploma programmes. As a result, EHL was drawing only those who could afford to pay the fees. In September 2007, EHL launched a hardship fund to serve as a reserve for students who encounter financial difficulties during their time at EHL. As of 2008, the newly created scholarship fund enables EHL to offer individuals with exceptional talent the opportunity to benefit from the EHL experience irrespective of their financial circumstances.
